Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

Note: draft template — have a lawyer review before launch.

These Terms govern your use of gitshipped.com and the services provided by Git Shipped ("we", "us"). By submitting a project or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

01Services

Git Shipped designs and builds websites, applications, email systems, automations, and related digital products. The specific scope of any engagement is defined in the quote we provide following your intake.

We do not guarantee any particular business outcome; we deliver the work as described in the agreed scope.

02Project scope & changes

Each engagement is scoped and quoted before work begins. Requests that fall outside the agreed scope may require a revised quote and timeline.

We'll always confirm material changes with you before proceeding.

03Plans & payment

We offer two ways to pay, stated in your quote. Hosted (standard): a one-time setup fee plus a recurring monthly fee that covers hosting, maintenance, security updates, and support. New changes, additions, or features you request after launch are quoted and billed separately. One-time: a single build fee for the finished product, handed off to you.

Monthly fees are billed in advance and recurring until cancelled. Setup and one-time fees are due as specified in your quote. Refunds, where applicable, are limited to work not yet performed.

04Hosting, cancellation & data

Hosted plans renew monthly and you can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't lock you in.

Your content and data are yours. You can request an export at any time. If you cancel a hosted plan without buying out the build, we may take the hosted site offline after a reasonable wind-down period — your exported content remains yours.

Buy-out: you may purchase the full source of a hosted project at any time for the then-current buy-out price, after which you receive the same broad, perpetual license to the source described under 'Intellectual property'.

05Intellectual property

Your content, branding, and data are yours at all times.

One-time builds & buy-outs: on full payment (a one-time build, or a buy-out of a hosted project), we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable right to use, modify, host, deploy, and commercialize the delivered source code however you wish and for any purpose, with no further fees.

We retain our own rights. That grant is non-exclusive: Git Shipped keeps a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reuse, modify, and re-license the code, components, frameworks, libraries, tooling, and know-how we develop — including on other projects and for other clients. Neither party owes the other any royalty or accounting for that use.

Hosted plans: you own your content and data throughout; the license to the source described above applies once you complete a buy-out or one-time payment. Until then, we retain the source as part of the hosted service.

We may display completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

06Warranties & liability

Work is delivered as described in the agreed scope. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the services is limited to the fees paid for the engagement.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

07AI disclosure

Our work is produced using AI-augmented development processes. Final deliverables are reviewed before release.

08Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice. You remain responsible for payment for work completed up to the termination date.

09Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. The parties will attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith mediation before pursuing litigation.
